The Raccoon, a mammal, belongs to the family of procyonids. Its original habitat reaches from Panama to Mexico and most of the US up to Southern Canada.
Its body length lies between 41 to 71 cm, tail not included. The tail can attain a length of 19.2 to 40.5 cm. Its weight is dependent on habitat and season and lies between 1.8 to 13.6 kg.
